Key Differences of OBD GPS Tracker GTB10

  1. Other wired GPS trackers require disassembly of the vehicle interior and access to the power harness, requiring installation by a professional technician. This is time-consuming and may damage the vehicle’s wiring. However, OBD GPS trackers can be activated by plugging directly into the vehicle’s OBD port. No wiring modifications are required, and even individual deployment can be completed in under a minute, significantly reducing installation costs and time.
  2. Other devices rely on independent batteries or single wiring harnesses for power, which can cause disconnection due to a dead battery or loose wiring. OBD trackers primarily draw power from the vehicle’s battery through the OBD port, accommodating a wide voltage range of 9V-36V, covering most vehicle models. They also have a built-in small-capacity backup battery that provides a basic four-hour power supply even if the device is temporarily unplugged or the battery loses power, ensuring uninterrupted positioning.
  3. Equipped with 4G Cat.1 high-speed network, they can quickly recover position in weak signal areas such as remote mountainous areas, tunnels, and underground garages using LBS (base station positioning) and AGPS (assisted positioning). Accuracy is ≤1 meter in open areas, and they can automatically cache tracks in blind spots for retransmission after exiting.
